Although Huawei has recently released several budget smartphones, the company may see room for yet another new model. This P20 Lite (2019) is equipped with no less than four cameras on the back.
Huawei P20 Lite (2019) specifications leaked
The Huawei P20 Lite will get a direct successor soon, as the usually reliable WinFuture claims. The site has also acquired some images of the device. That is remarkable because the company already released the Huawei P30 Lite at the start of this month.
According to the source, the manufacturer is also working on the Huawei P20 Lite (2019) leaked out today. The device is probably already for sale within a few weeks and has a suggested retail price of 269 euros.
The device has an LCD screen of 5.84 inches, with a small hole in the top left corner for the selfie camera. Especially striking are the four cameras on the back: it is the first time that a cheaper smartphone from Huawei has so many lenses on the back.
Little is known about the cameras themselves. The primary lens is probably one of 24 megapixels and there is also a Time of Flight lens for augmented reality apps. We don’t know anything about the other two cameras, but probably it’s a green-angle or telephoto lens.
Smooth chipset, two models
This Huawei P20 Lite (2019) is equipped with a Kirin 710 chip and 4GB memory. We find the same setup in all other recent budget smartphones from Huawei, including the recently released P30 Lite. The device also has a 3000 mAh battery, Android 9.0 (Pie) and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The standard model has 64GB of storage space, but a variant with 128GB would also be in the making.
Although the name may sound confusing, Huawei has done this trick before. A few years ago, the company released both a P10 Lite and P9 Lite (2017), two completely different smartphones in the same budget range. In recent months, Huawei has also introduced a new P Smart and P Smart Z. When the P20 Lite (2019) is actually revealed, is still unknown.
