Does your iPad Pro respond poorly, or does the display sometimes ‘hang’? Then you are not the only one. Multiple iPad Pro owners suffer from iPad Pro screen problem. Apple has not yet responded to the complaints.
iPad Pro screen problem
This concerns the versions from 2017 and from last year. In the MacRumors and Apple forums, the number of complaints has increased in recent days. For some people, the screen falters, causing a visualization to ‘hang’, while for others, touches are not recorded.
For example, someone on the Apple forum writes that the letters O, K, I and J are not working properly. While typing, the touch is not immediately registered, so the buttons must be pressed twice. Some people also have problems with scrolling, for example in Safari.
Apple itself has not yet issued a statement. In the meantime, some people report that their problem has been solved by reconnecting the Apple Pencil with their iPad Pro. A reset to the factory settings would also sometimes be successful.
That’s how you solve it
It is not yet clear how extensive the problems are and what the cause is. Since it concerns both the 2017 and 2018 versions, there may be something wrong with the hardware. On the other hand, iOS 12.2, which was recently released, could also cause problems for some people with a new iPad Pro.
If you suffer from an iPad Pro screen problem, it is important to contact Apple or the store of purchase. The iPad Pro is still within the factory warranty and the employees can help you further. Contact Apple customer service or visit one of the stores. If the problem cannot be repaired, you will receive a replacement copy. Therefore make a backup of your iPad in advance. This way you will not lose any important data.
