Official LG G8 ThinQ render shows the smartphone from all sides

LG G8 ThinQ leakedOfficial marketing channels of the LG G8 ThinQ have leaked. The pictures show the yet unannounced smartphone from all sides, and make it clear that his design is very similar to the G7 ThinQ and V40 ThinQ of last year.

LG G8 ThinQ leaked: check the pictures

In recent weeks, images and other details of the G8 ThinQ have been leaked several times, and now we also see the first official marketing rider of the smartphone. The picture is posted on Twitter by @Evleaks, a well-known tasty with an almost flawless reputation.

What is immediately noticeable is that the G8 ThinQ is very similar to the expensive LG devices of last year. Both the front and the back of the smartphone are almost identical to those of the G7 ThinQ and V40 ThinQ, although the latter has three cameras on the back. The G8 gets a double camera, just like its predecessor.

The LG G8 ThinQ has a USB port and headphone connection. The back is made of glass and contains a fingerprint scanner. LG is therefore not part of the trend to stop the scanner under the display. More and more high-end smartphones, including the OnePlus 6T, Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus, have such a scanner.

The leaked render also makes clear that LG sticks to the notch, where the front camera and a number of sensors are hidden behind. Manufacturers such as Honor and Samsung make appliances without a notch this year, for example by placing a camera magnet in the screen.

Specifications

Although the design of the G8 ThinQ may not appeal to the imagination, the device does impress with its hardware. The latest Snapdragon 855 processor is running under the bonnet, the fastest chipset available at the moment. LG has announced that the smartphone will get a front camera with Time of Flight technology for advanced face protection and better filters for your selfies.

LG V50 ThinQ 5G officially

Reportedly, the G8 ThinQ has 4GB or 6GB RAM and 128GB storage space. The display would measure 6.1 inches and use an LCD panel with a sharp QHD resolution. How big the battery is not yet clear. Rumors claim that the battery supports wireless charging. The smartphone probably does not support 5G internet.

Announcement on MWC

LG released the V40 ThinQ in the Netherlands on February 1 but is already presenting its latest top model at the end of this month. The G8 ThinQ will see the light of day at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) on 24 February. The manufacturer reveals another high-end smartphone with 5G support. Details about this device are still scarce, but – because of the 5G addition – it becomes more expensive than the G8 ThinQ. Golobal TecH is present at the MWC and reports extensively on this.
