Specifications leaked: Motorola Moto E6 with Android Pie coming

Motorola Moto E6Motorola may soon be expanding its budget range. The first set of specifications for the Motorola Moto E6 has been leaked.

Motorola Moto E6 specifications leaked out

The Motorola Moto E6 is equipped with a 5.45-inch screen, claims telecom insurer Mishaal Rahman on Twitter. Rahman writes for XDA Developers, a site that is more likely to be the first to share details about new smartphones. An exact release date for the Moto E6 is still unknown, but the specifications now leak out, suggesting that it won’t belong. Motorola has not yet responded to the rumor.

The 5.45-inch screen probably has a resolution of 1440 by 720 pixels. That is slightly smaller than last year ‘s Moto E5, which had a 5.7-inch screen with the same resolution. All other specifications are improvements. The complete list according to Rahman is as follows:

  • Snapdragon 430 chip with 2GB memory
  • 16 or 32GB storage space
  • The 13-megapixel camera on the back, 5-megapixel camera on the front
  • Runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with Moto interface

The smartphone probably also has a fingerprint scanner, just like its predecessor. However, that has not yet been confirmed. The Moto E-series consists of cheap smartphones without frills, and again this year the Moto E6 seems to be a fairly simple device. The smartphone does not have a dual camera or large screen with a notch, but decent hardware without fuss.

Recommended retail price and release

The suggested retail price of the Moto E6 is still unknown. Possibly the device is slightly cheaper than the Moto E5, which appeared for 149 euros. Motorola recently released the Moto G7 Play for the same suggested retail price. The E series is usually cheaper than the G series.

Motorola recently released four new smartphones in this series. Since this spring, the Moto G7, Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7 Power and Moto G7 Play are available in the United States. The recommended retail price ranges from € 149 to € 299. For now, only a single device from the new Moto E series has been revealed, but it is likely that Motorola will also come with a Moto E6 Plus and E6 Play.
