Specifications new Nokia smartphones 2019 on the street
Both smartphones will probably be unveiled on Sunday 24 February, prior to the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Rumors about the two devices have already surfaced, but Nokia Power User discovered the manual of the Nokia 1 Plus and references to both smartphones in Googles databases. That suggests that an announcement does not take much longer.
With the two aircraft, the Finnish manufacturer would operate both sides of the price spectrum. For the Nokia 9 is probably the main prize charged. The device has namely five cameras and one depth sensor behind. On Google’s Android Enterprise site, more specifications of the smartphone have also surfaced.
The site mentions a 6-inch screen, 4 GB memory, and 128 GB storage space. Remarkably, the device is still powered by the Snapdragon 845. That while the first smartphones with a Snapdragon 855 chipset are expected this spring. Details about the cameras are still missing, but it is expected that the various lenses will be used for optical zoom.
Nokia 1 Plus: an entry-level model with limited hardware
The Nokia 1 that appeared last year was already a real entry model, with relatively weak hardware but a suggested retail price of fewer than 100 euros. The manual shows that the Nokia 1 Plus builds on this. The smartphone does run on Android Go, a variant of Android optimized for cheap smartphones.
That’s good because the Nokia 1 Plus seems to run on the MediaTek MT6739. This chipset originally appeared in 2017 and was not very powerful at that time. There is 1GB of memory, a compact battery with a capacity of 2500 mAh and a 5-inch screen with a resolution of 960 by 480 pixels. Both front and rear are cameras with an unknown number of megapixels.
