Oppo will be selling a new smartphone in the Reno series in China from next week. The Oppo Reno Z official will be available there from 6 June. It is the more affordable variant of the series, without a zoom lens and extendable selfie camera. The manufacturer usually releases his smartphones quickly afterward in Europe.
No extendable camera or zoom
The Oppo Reno Z is so far the most economical device in the high-end Reno series. Earlier, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer already released the Oppo Reno and Oppo Reno 10x Zoom. The Reno Z has to make do with less striking cameras. For example, the device does not have an optical zoom lens. The dual camera consists of a 48-megapixel lens and 5-megapixel depth sensor.
The Reno and Reno 10x Zoom further distinguish themselves mainly by the remarkable way in which the selfie camera is processed in the device. The camera tilts obliquely from the top of the device, making it look like a shark fin. Oppo opts for a more traditional solution for the Reno Z. The selfie camera is incorporated in the screen in a small notch. This can take photos with a high resolution of 32 megapixels.

There are more differences apart from the camera. The Reno Z has a MediaTek Helio P90 processor, instead of the Snapdragon 710 and 855 chip in the other two flagships of Oppo. In terms of memory, the device offers the choice between more main memory and less storage, or vice versa.
The Reno Z is available with 6GB RAM and 256GB storage, or 8GB with 128GB storage. Both variants cost the same amount. The smartphone also has a large 4035 mAh battery which, thanks to the superVOOC 3.0 charging technology, is quickly filled again. The fingerprint scanner is integrated into the 6.4-inch screen.
Maybe in the united states soon
The Oppo Reno Z will be available in China next week for around 325 euros. The manufacturer has been active in the united states since this year. The earlier Renos were available in stores just under a month after they went on sale in China, and also in the united states. Whether that is the case and how much the Reno Z will cost exactly has not been announced yet.
