Samsung next month next to the Samsung Galaxy S10E name and S10 Plus probably also a cheaper device. The name of this smartphone is now probably known, and it is not the ‘Galaxy S10 Lite’.
Samsung Galaxy S10E name leaked
The generally reliable telecom insider Evan Blass ( @evleaks ) says that the phone will be called the Samsung Galaxy S10E. That corresponds to a rumor that appeared a few days ago. The Samsung Galaxy S10E – just like the Galaxy S7 from 2016 – will get a flat screen, where the curved screen edges of recent Galaxy S devices are missing. The screen would be full-front, with only a hole in the upper corner for the front camera.
The price of the Galaxy S10E is still unknown, but the smartphone is probably several hundred euros cheaper than the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus. If we can believe the latest rumors, the S10E has the same internal hardware as its more expensive brothers. However, the device would only have a dual camera, while the battery with 3100 mAh is smaller and there is no fingerprint scanner in the screen. The scanner, on the other hand, would be on the side of the housing. It is also logical that the S10E on Android 9.0 (Pie) runs with Samsung’s new One UI skin.
The Samsung Galaxy S10E may be unveiled on Wednesday, February 20th. On that day, the South Korean manufacturer is organizing an Unpacked event in San Francisco to present its new top equipment. According to reports, the phones can be pre-ordered immediately after the event, after which the release has to take place on 8 March. However, this has not yet been confirmed by Samsung.
