The announcement of the Sony Xperia XZ4 does not take much longer, and now the specifications of the smartphone may have appeared. We list the most striking things for you.
Sony Xperia XZ4 specifications leaked
The specifications were discovered and shared by the unknown website SumahoInfo (via GizmoChina ). The image seems to come from the Chinese or Taiwanese website of Sony. The Xperia XZ4 is not mentioned explicitly, but the specifications do indicate a new flagship.
1. An OLED screen with 21 to 9 aspect ratio
Perhaps the most important feature of the XZ4 is the screen, which has a striking aspect ratio of 21 by 9. As a result, the display is a lot longer than the screens of many other Android devices. The OLED display also has thinner edges, a high resolution of 3360 by 1440 pixels and support for HDR.
2. Large 4400 mAh battery
Also striking is that battery capacity of no less than 4400 mAh is mentioned. The previous high-end device from Sony, the Xperia XZ3, had a relatively modest 3300 mAh battery. Due to the large battery, the XZ4 lasts longer on a full charge, although that battery is also needed for the larger screen.
In addition, the Sony Xperia XZ4 gets support for fast charging and wireless charging. The latter works via the Qi standard, allowing you to install the smartphone on any wireless charging path to top up the battery.
3. 128GB of storage space
Furthermore, the Sony Xperia XZ4 standard seems to get more storage space than its predecessor. Where the XZ3 has 64GB of storage, the XZ4 would appear with 128GB. Various manufacturers, such as Huawei with the Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro and OnePlus with the 6T, already deliver their high-end smartphones with 128GB. This would be a logical step from Sony.
The specification list also shows that the new flagship has the Snapdragon 855 chip from Qualcomm, with 6 GB of RAM and support for micro SD cards (up to 512 GB). The device would measure 167 by 72 by 8.2 millimeters, weigh 191 grams and be dust and watertight.
4. Directly on Android 9.0 (Pie)
As expected, the Sony Xperia XZ4 runs out of the box on Android 9.0 (Pie), the latest version of the mobile operating system.
