The Asus Zenfone 6 is a special appearance with its fold-out camera. The device does not have a selfie camera, but two sensors on the back that turn forward from the housing when you take a self-portrait.

The phone has just been unveiled at a press conference in Valencia. The most striking feature of the Asus Zenfone 6 is without a doubt the ‘flip camera’. The main camera (48 megapixels) and wide-angle lens (13 megapixels) are incorporated in the rear, but as soon as you take a selfie they turn upwards from the housing.

The Asus Zenfone 6, therefore, has an extendable camera that works thanks to hinges. The advantage of such a flip camera is clear: no camera hole is needed for the selfie lens in the screen. The display, therefore, fills almost the entire front. Moreover, Asus can put all its time and energy in one camera system, instead of two.
Furthermore, the Asus Zenfone 6 uses quad more bay technology to improve the quality of photos. Because the camera opens, which according to Asus takes just under a second, selfies and ‘normal’ photos are of the same quality. The device can, for example, record videos in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second.

The screen of the Asus Zenfone 6 is 6.4-inch with a full HD resolution and 19: 5: 9 aspect ratio, making the image oblong. The device is controlled by the powerful Snapdragon 855 processor, 6 / 8GB of memory and 64/128 / 256GB storage.
According to Asus, the robust 5000 mAh battery provides enough power to use the Zenfone 6 for two days without charging. The device runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with the updated ZenUI 6, which among other things introduces a dark mode. Menus get a dark tint, which is nice for your eyes.
Furthermore, the Asus Zenfone 6 has a USB-C connection with fast charging (18 watts). Thanks to the dual sim functionality, you can be reached with two telephone numbers. The Asus Zenfone 6 comes in two colors: Midnight Black and Twilight Silver. The device is available from 499 euros and a united states release date is not yet known.
