Send files securely with Firefox Send

Firefox puts more and more emphasis on security and privacy. If the company previously made anonymous Firefox Firefox browser available, you can now securely send large files with the new Firefox Send app.

The app offers a guarantee that your files will stay safe in different ways. Among other things with end-to-end encryption, so that you are assured that only you and the recipient can view the files.

In addition, you indicate how long the sent file can remain available. You can disappear after a specific number of downloads (minimum 1 download, maximum 100 downloads), or a specific time (minimum 5 minutes, maximum 7 days). You also get the option to protect the file with a password.

After uploading you send a link to the person with whom you want to share the file. This link can simply be opened in a browser. The recipient does not even need the app.

Neither you nor the recipient needs to register to use the service. As an anonymous user, you can send files of 1GB maximum. However, you do need a free Firefox account to send files up to 2.5 GB in size.

Download the app for free in the Play Store via the link below. At the moment there is only a beta version of the app available. This means that the app is still under development and can, therefore, be unstable. However, in practice, you will hardly notice this.
