The Huawei P30 and P30 Pro can be admired from all sides on a new set of renders. They also betray some striking additions, such as a headphone jack on one of the two unannounced smartphones.
Huawei P30 headphone jack can be seen on new renders
The scrapping of the headphone connection was one of the big trends among smartphone makers last year. Huawei now seems to be the first manufacturer to add the connection, after scrapping it earlier. That appears from renders of the Huawei P30 that WinFuture has acquired.
The images show the Huawei P30 from all sides, in different colors. There is a headphone connection on the bottom of the device. The P30 Pro does not have the connection. Why is unknown, but possibly there was no room for it because the device has better hardware or a larger battery.
Four cameras, four colors
The Huawei P30 Pro has four cameras at the rear, according to the photos. Under the primary lens and a wide-angle lens is a third camera with a periscopic zoom. According to rumors, this allows you to zoom in up to ten times without loss of quality in the image. In addition to the cameras, there is also a Time of Flight sensor, a 3D camera that can be used for augmented reality apps and adding a bokeh effect to photos.
The Huawei P30 does not have this fourth camera. According to the source, the telescopic lens has also been replaced by a somewhat limited ‘normal’ telephoto lens with a maximum of 5x zoom.
According to the source, the Huawei P30 Pro will soon be available in colors: ‘Sunrise’ red, black, light blue / white and ‘Aurora’ blue. The standard model is equipped with 128 GB of storage space and 8 GB of working memory, but versions with 256 and 512 GB also appear. The suggested retail price is still unknown. The P30 appears in the same colors, except for red. It comes with 128 GB of storage space and 6 GB of memory.
Huawei is organizing an event in Paris on March 26, where the new smartphones will be shown to the press for the first time. The Huawei P30 Lite, a cheaper variant with adapted hardware, will probably see the light of day there. The entire Huawei P30 series will probably be available in the Netherlands from the beginning of April.
