EMUI 9.1, the latest version of Huawei’s Android skin, already runs on the P30 and P30 Pro but is also coming to various older devices. The software contains a number of interesting improvements.
EMUI 9.1 is coming to this smartphone
The Huawei Central website reports that the Chinese manufacturer is looking for testers for the latest version of EMUI, and would allow users of the devices below. The Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro is not on the list, but the website writes that these devices are also likely to be updated quickly to EMUI version 9.1.

EMUI 9.1 can be found on the Huawei P30 and P30 Pro, which have recently become available in the Netherlands. The latest version of Huawei’s Android skin brings a new appearance in the form of new icons and wallpapers and introduces a new file system that should provide speed improvements.
Furthermore, EMUI 9.1 includes the GPU Turbo 3.0 update, which ensures better performance of Huawei phones in popular games. With the update, this function uses 10 percent less power.
Another useful feature of EMUI 9.1 is that you can call the Google Assistant with the on / off button of your phone. You have to hold the button for about a second, after which the smart assistant is activated. In addition, you can still continue to use the home button at the bottom of the screen.
Finally, OneHop is a new feature that allows you to transfer files (such as photos and videos) to your PC by simply tapping the device with your smartphone.
Huawei P30 and P30 Pro
