Nokia 1 Plus specifications leaked

Nokia 1 PlusHMD Global, the maker of the Nokia smartphones, released the Nokia 1 last year and plans to introduce a successor. Website TigerMobiles has a simple render and the most specifications of the Nokia 1 Plus shared. The specs indicate a very affordable device that is most likely running on Android Go. The hardware is modest: the device would have a MediaTek MT6739WW chip with only 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage space.

The most important improvement is probably the screen. It has an aspect ratio of 18 by 9, which means that the display is slightly longer than its predecessor, and the edges are thinner. The exact screen format is unknown, but the resolution is 960 by 540 pixels and the pixel density would be 213 PPI. With a little calculation, you come out on a screen of about 5 inches. For comparison: the Nokia 1 had a 4.5-inch screen (854 by 480 pixels).

In addition, the Nokia 1 Plus is equipped with a micro USB connection, although the battery capacity is unclear. No information has yet been published about the cameras. However, dual-sim support would be present. The price is probably around 100 euros.

Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition)

The main feature of the Nokia 1 Plus is the fact that the phone runs on a special version of Android Pie: Android 9.0 Pie (Go Edition). In addition to the necessary optimizations Google Go versions of its apps, such as Google Maps Go and Gmail Go. They require less storage space and computing power, which makes them run smoother.

Last August, Google introduces the latest version of Android Go, based on Android Pie. That brings with it various improvements. For example, Android 9.0 Go reduces the installation file of the operating system, so that you have more space for your files. Also, the start-up is faster, the software is safer and the Google-apps are further improved.
