“Leaked render shows Samsung Galaxy M40 with a front-filling screen”

Samsung Galaxy M40

It seems that Samsung is coming soon with a new device in the Galaxy M series. The Galaxy M40 has a front-filling screen, smooth hardware, and a large 5000 mAh battery. The telephone would be announced on 11 June.

The usually reliable website 91Mobiles has published a render of the Samsung Galaxy M40 and also says it knows the specifications. As you can see on the press photo below, the Galaxy M40 has a screen that fills almost the entire front. At the top left – just like the Galaxy S10, S10 Plusand S10e – there is a hole for the selfie camera. At the bottom, there is still a substantial edge visible.

At the back, we see a triple camera, which would be about 32 + 8 + 5-megapixel lenses. On the back is also the fingerprint scanner, which is, for example, on the Galaxy A50 just below the screen. The display of the M40 allegedly measures 6.3 inches and has a resolution of 2340 by 1080 pixels.

Under the hood is a Snapdragon 675 chip with 4 / 6GB RAM. It is striking that the M40 would have a large 5000 mAh battery, which also offers support for fast charging.

Possible to Europe

The selfie camera takes photos in 16 megapixels and out of the box the Samsung Galaxy M40 runs on Android 9.0 (Pie) with OneUI. Although the smartphone is probably first announced in India, there is a chance that it will also come to Europe later. The Galaxy M20 is since recently available in the Netherlands for 209 euros. This phone also has a 5000 mAh battery but has a screen with a notch and less powerful hardware.
