Sony will unveil on February 25 probably with its new flagship, the Sony Xperia XZ4. The company has sent invitations for a presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2019, which will take place in Barcelona at the end of February.
Sony Xperia XZ4 presentation next month
The generally trustworthy website XperiaBlog shared the invitation from Sony, which shows that the event of the company is on February 25th. This is during the Mobile World Congress, where Sony also presented the Xperia XZ2 and XZ2 Compact last year. Probably we will only see the Xperia XZ4 this year, because, according to rumors, Sony has scrapped the Compact series for the time being.
By means of a live stream on the website of Sony, the presentation will soon be followed by everyone. The manufacturer may, therefore, introduce a number of cheaper devices, in the form of the Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Ultra, and Xperia L3. The forerunners of those smartphones also came out in the Netherlands last year but then appeared in early January.
What we know about the Sony Xperia XZ4
In the past few weeks, a lot has already been leaked about the Sony Xperia XZ4. We know that the smartphone is probably equipped with a large 6.5-inch screen, with an aspect ratio of 21 by 9. As a result, the display is longer than many other Android devices. At the top and bottom is probably a thin bezel, suggesting that Sony again refuses to add a notch.
According to rumors, the Xperia XZ4 also has a glass case and triple camera on the back. It is still unclear which camera improvements Sony will implement exactly. Furthermore, we speak of a Snapdragon 855 chip, a maximum of 256 GB of storage and a hefty 3900 mAh battery. It also seems plausible that the phone runs on Android 9.0 (Pie), the most recent version of the mobile operating system. Striking: the headphone connection would return to the Xperia XZ4.
